Android, group application installation

This is mostly for those who frequently change ROMs. We know that when you install a new ROM then, naturally, it is necessary to install the applications that we need. Google Play although it facilitates this process of application installation  on smartphones directly from the computer, however, this process can be further simplified.
The process can be simplified so that you create. Zip file with all the necessary applications and the same file will install through recovery, with all applications it will be installed once.


 Required tools:

-Installed Java Runtime Environment(JRE) on your PC (OS it doesn't matter but the link is for Windows)
-Aroma App Package Creator (download .jnlp file {Java executive file})
-Installed Touch Recovery on your Phone (its not been tested with regular recovery 4EXT REcovery Touch;
-7Zip optional
-calibration zip also optimal

Procedure:


You need to first install the JRE on your computer. After you install, turn on the program Aroma App Package Creator.
 The procedure is very simple. First create a group of programs,in the  image bellow the group is named Programi, then add applications. Enter the name of the application, and with the button "Browse"  load the application. Once you add all the programs that you need, from the field Calibration choose your phone model. If your model is not in the list will have to choose Custom and manually enter the digits calibration on the display. The digits you will find using the tool calibration.zip after will include in recovery.The procedure is described in the link.
Once you do as described then you can click the "Create" to save it. Zip file with the programs.

 
Update the programs in the package:

The creator of the program announced that will add function to read already-made packages with a view to their amendment, but it has not happened. Until then, if update for some of the apps that is already in your package, you will  not have to repeat this procedure again.
All you have to do is to run 7Zip and to open your saved  Zip package and track data> XXXX (where XXXX is the name of the apps folder) to replace alredy existing .Apk file with the newer version.
You can also in already existing  folder to add more. Apk files. It is very important. that in .apk files names to not have empty spaces . When you add .apk files in the package with Aroma Package,the software automatically deletes empty spaces, but if you add manually through 7Zip you  need to delete the spaces by your self before you add them to the package.

 Installation of the created package  :

You can install the package via recovery mod of your phone in the same way like you install new Rom.You can install the package after the installation of new Rom without restarting the phone
 

Create your self topographic 3D maps for your Android Device

Recently I have searched all over the net and I found out that there are not too many usable tutorials on how to create your own 3D topographic maps.
Topographic maps are designed to be used as a basemap and as a reference map. The map service includes administrative boundaries, cities, water features, physiographic features, parks, landmarks, highways, roads, railways, airports, and buildings overlaid on land cover and shaded relief for added context.

So in this Tutorial I will show you how to Make your own Topo 3D maps with CompeGPS Land for your Android Device 
First you have to download CompeGPS Land from HERE  for your PC. You can find trial version also.

Also you will need Two Nav from HERE for your Android.

Now if you downloaded this two apps one for your PC and second one for your Android Device

CompeGPS Lang is software for creating and converting 2D,3D maps 
Two Nav is app for Android that can read topographic maps created with CompeGPS Lang 

Also you MUST find Topo Maps in most common formats like:.ecw, *.bmp, *kmz, *.jpg, *.tif, *.tiff, *.png... 

Now lets get started -----

-Install and run CompeGPS Lang on your PC
-in the main window press on  "Maps" button
-now press import maps

- in the window that will poup select your map 

-in the next box just click OK

-now again in the next box click again an this window will appear

-if you want to change Projection than click on "Projection Automatic" if you don't than press on "Next"
-again in the next window where it asks you "Modify Map corners" click "Next"

-now this is the vital part

 

-in this window you will have to choose the two calibration points
-zoom the map and choose some place that is easy to find on other Maps. For example:crossroad;sity square etc.

-minimize the CompeGPS lang window and open Google Maps/Earth or some other Map software and find the same point that you have mark before in CompeGPS
-write down the coordinates from Google Earth in to the empty boxes in CompeGPS Lang
-repeat this procedure with at least one more point
But i will recommend to you to add some additional points because more points in calibration process will make your map more accurate

When you finish with adding points click on "Save"
Calibration file will be saved on your Desktop

So now you will have to convert your saved Calibration file in to a map that your Two Nav for Android app can read

-close all CompeGPS Lang windows and run the software again
-again choose "Maps" from the main window and than "Batch convert raster maps"

 -in the window that will popup choose your Saved Calibration file
DO NOT choose your non calibrated map
-in the next popup choose RMAP and press OK

-after the converting process will finish your RMAP file will be saved on your Desktop
DONE:Now you have 2D/3D Map for your Android Device

How to setup your HTC Device for flashing with custom Roms

ok this is what you have to do if you want to install/flash with custom rom

This method work only HTC Sensation,HTC Sensation XE and HTC Sensation 4G.I'm not sure about other phone models

No before you start with anything you will have to be sure that you have S-OFF,that you have write super-CID and that you have update to 4EXt touch recovery
If you didn't done all this methods than go to this link and S-OFF,install clockworkModRecovery and write super-CID.For update to 4EXT Recovery Touch we will speak here in this topic

Now after you have done all the things that you should done before flashing with custom rom its time to update to 4EXT Touch Recovery. The only thing because you should update to 4EXT is because most of the custom roms is coming with this kind of recovery and if you make nanodroid back-up with clockworkModRecovery than you will not be able to restore your data  if anything goes wrong. You will see what I'm talking about in the text above.Now lets begin:
-open your phone web browser and type "4EXT.net"

-click in "download free 4EXT Recovery Updater. When the file is downloaded install it
. After the installation is finished click on open and press "online install/upgrade". Allow or click yes in every window that will popup. Than again click on "online install/upgrade". Window will popup press yes or allow and this screen will appear

-Now press on "touch" option and select the latest version by date
-after download the package window will popup saying "flashing new recovery" and after confirming that flashing is done succesfull power off your phone
-Press "volume-" + "power" button
-Hboot screen will appear and select recovery option by using "volume+/-" buttons and phone will reboot in to new recovery touch 1.0.3.It should look like in the screen bellow 

So now when you have done updating to 4ext recovery touch go to back /restore and backup your data. Now you have backup your data. Backup is needed in case something goes wrong,than you will be able to restore your data and go back to your previous stock rom/image


If you coming from stock rom and if you want to flash with custom rom which is coming with sense 3.5/3.6 you will have to update your firmware before you flash with any custom rom with sense 3.5/3.6
It is required to flash first the Firmware Package posted by Mike HERE
You have to flash the Firmware from 3.24./3.25.401.1or newer RUU only once for all !

Once you have updated your firmware you can download your desired custom rom. Put the rom as it is (in zip extension) in root of your sd card. Also you will have to do full wipe before you flash with the custom rom . So download THIS FILE  and also past to root of your sd card 

NOTE:Before you continue with the steps make sure that you have make Nanodroid Backup


Start your phone in to recovery choose back up/restore and make back up. After you have make back up press back and select "install from sd-card" and  select file that you have downloaded before for wiping (this file "Android_Revolution_HD_Super_Wipe_Sensation.zip". When the wipe is done phone will reboot in to recovery and now you are ready to flash with custom rom. Again select "install from sd-card",choose your custom and follow the steps and instructions on your phone

How to root by using DooMLoRD's Easy Rooting Toolkit. (ZergRush Exploit) (Windows)

Download the "DooMLoRD's Easy Rooting Toolkit v3.0" package from HERE and extract it to a directory on your hard drive using WinZip or a similar program.
You need to have the USB drivers for SGH-I777 installed on your computer. (It will be "Samsung USB Driver for Mobile Phones" in Control Panel\Uninstall Programs.) Download and install the latest drivers from HERE. (x86 and x64)
Both USB Debugging (Menu\Settings\Applications\Development) and Unknown Sources (Menu\Settings\Applications) should be enabled on your phone.
Increase the screen timeout on your phone to 10 minutes. (Menu\Settings\Display\Screen Timeout) Remember to set it back to a shorter interval after you are done rooting.
Connect the USB cable to the phone and the computer. Go to the directory where you extracted the package and execute "runme.bat".
The toolkit will open a command prompt window where you will see the progress of the rooting process. It takes between 5 and 10 minutes for the process to complete.
Success. You're rooted.

1. first you will have to download and instal this  on your pc
While installing this drivers the phone should be unplugged and also if you have already installed HTC sync you should uninstall before you try to install the drivers
2. go to http://revolutionary.io/ cz we will use this tool from here to make s-off and this will allow to make permanent root to your phone. So once you have entered on the revolutionary scroll down and go to "DOWNLOAD FOR WINDOWS" (blue letters)
-when you click on download for windows the window will popup and download will start automatically
-minimize the browser do not close because later we will have to fill in the fields for beta key
3. Now go to downloaded file from revolutionary web site
-the file should be in zip extension (like this revolutionary-0.4pre4.zip)
-extract any where
- you will get folder with 6 files in side
4. Now take your phone and plug in to your PC. Make sure that is in "charging only" mod
-go to settings/applications/development/ and check USB debugging
5. Go back to your PC and open the folder downloaded from revolutionary
-right click on revolutionary.exe and run as administrator
the program will run and after few moments it will find your phone with all information about it
at the end it will ask you "enter beta key_"
above this you will see your phones serial number
-leave the program open and go back to revolutionary web site to fill the fields in the window
it should look like this

Run the Revolutionary utility; that will give you all the information needed to fill in the form below.

Generate


-after filling/chose your device hit "generate" and other window will popup with your beta key
-copy the key

6. once you have copied the key go back to revolutionary program that you have left working on your desktop and write the beta key and press enter
-program will start working and after few minutes (when its done ) program will ask you do you want to download and install flash clockworkmod recovery (Y/n)_

phone will boot up in Hboot mod (Bootloader screen) and you will see that your phone is S-OFF now



that is it you have s-offed your phone

Recently I can see that many users had a problem while they try to install Qt based apps because of the conflict between smart installer and hacked installserver.exe that we use to hack our devices

First and main thing that you should do is to download and install the attached siseditor app on your phone
-after you install,open the siseditor and go to first option "Package name". Window will popup asking you to download UCweb,press "NO"
-next you will have to choose from which drive you want to select (in this case Qt based app that you want to remove smart installer from)
-now the application has been opened and go to option "File list-64 file(s)
-you can see now the application and smart installer are separated
-mark the application,press options/extract some where in your memory card
-once the app is extracted you can close siseditor
-now the app is without smart installer
-with your file manger find extracted app and install on your phone

This is fully tested by me and its working 100%
I don't know is this working on s^3 devices but it works on all s60 v5


If you want to remove smart installer form Qt based apps downloaded from Ovi/Nokia Store follow this steps

-open your Ovi/Nokia store
-find and download the desired Qt app
-when the downloading is complete window will popup "Preparing installation" and right after this "Install: name of the app with options "OK" and "Cancel"
-do not press any option but press the menu button and leave Ovi/Nokia store to work in backround
-open your file manager and go to E:/install. Here will be downloaded app from Ovi/Nokia store and copy the app to other folder on your memory card
-once the downloaded app is copied to one other location you can close the Ovi/Nokia store
   For removing the smart installer use the above method with siseditor
